The cheapest rate is rarely the cheapest cost

A headline rate hides the rest of the bill: the bank's transfer charge, GST on the conversion, the value date your money actually moves, correspondent-bank deductions on the way, and the rate your bank will quietly improve once you negotiate at this size.

Capera models your true all-in cost across banks and sets up better-than-published FX for your flows. Most businesses your size are leaving money on the table.

Indicative. Published rates exclude bank charges, GST on the conversion, and any correspondent or transfer fees, and negotiated corporate rates can differ. Only banks quoting within a day of each other are compared. Confirm the all-in cost with your bank before transacting.

Common questions

Which rate does this compare?

The rate your bank gives you when you send or receive money by wire transfer, the account-to-account channel businesses use for import payments and export receipts. Forex-card load rates are compared separately, since cards carry their own fees.

Why does the cheapest bank change with direction?

When you pay abroad you are buying foreign currency, so you want the bank selling it most cheaply. When you receive from abroad you are selling foreign currency, so you want the bank buying it at the highest rate. The ranking flips between the two.

Are these the rates I will actually get?

These are published rates. The real all-in cost also depends on the bank's transfer charge, GST on the conversion, the value date, and fees that vary by bank and by deal size. The cheapest published rate is often not the cheapest in practice, which is where we help.
